CIGNA Behavioral Health Provider

I focus my energy on working with adults and adolescents- individually, or as part of a couple, family, or group. My work is centered on 3 areas, Couples and Family Therapy, Life Coaching, and Individual Counseling. In my work with couples and families, I focus on repairing connection, improving communication, and reigniting passion. As a Life Coach I partner with my clients to transform their lives through values clarification, identifying self-limiting beliefs, goal structuring, and accountability. My work with individuals is best described as real and active.  I am not the “blank slate therapist” who does not react or respond but only reflects back to you what you are saying.  I will provide input based on my experience and I often offer homework in the form of handouts and suggested books. I feel confident that our work together will move your life in a positive direction. Cindy talks about her approach to therapy.

It is my passion to help children and adults find balance while they are struggling with life changing events and the daily pressures of their lives. I believe active listening, empathy, and the therapeutic relationship provide the foundation for positive change through counseling. Children often do not have the vocabulary to express their feelings, and need to be able to do so through other mediums such as play, art, games, and sand tray. It would be my privilege to help you with OCD, bullying, self-harm, depression, anxiety, divorce, grief and loss, anger, self-esteem, and other concerns.

KimRisa Bos, MA, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
– MH #11349
Qualified EMDR Practitioner
Certified Clinical Hypnosis Practitioner

My approach to therapy is positive and supportive, focusing on your strengths and how we can work together to maximize those assets.  I believe that we all have within us the ability to be happy, and that happiness is a choice.  We make that choice by deciding to focus on deliberate, positive things rather than feeling defeated and stuck in our wounds.  I have seven years experience working with adults and couples, and my specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems and addictions. I am a qualified provider of EMDR and clinical hypnosis, and I am trained in the Gottman method of couples therapy which emphasizes connectedness and communication.  The greatest journey begins with a single step, make your emotional well-being a priority today rather than “someday”—your life is now!

Kelli Skorman, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern – IMH #11924
Qualified EMDR Practitioner

I specialize in assisting adolescents and adults in trauma and abuse recovery. Unresolved Trauma can often manifest itself in many other life areas, which can lead into depression and negative emotions. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment modality, which focuses on resolving difficult trauma. Psychotherapy is much more effective and efficient when talk therapy is combined with EMDR. Positive results are reached for even the most severe cases of trauma and abuse. In addition to Trauma and Abuse Recovery, I have also had extensive training in divorce recovery and a variety of other mental health areas, including weight loss and eating disorders. My own personal trials and trauma, which were overcome through therapy, have helped me gain unconditional empathy and knowledge to help others through their journey of healing and self-fulfillment. I have a Christian worldview and often incorporate the Christian approach to help reach one's full potential.

Jessica Carmean, MS
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern – IMH #11932
Certified Play Therapist

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults who have experienced life changing events, trauma, or mood disorders. Traumatic experiences can have long lasting effects such as profound sadness or anxiety, flashbacks, nightmares, and even manifest as physical symptoms like headaches. I create a safe and happy environment, sometimes a playful environment (Play Therapy) for my clients to explore their story, work through the hard questions, seek healing and restore relationships.

Healing relationships are established by using play therapy, sandtray, expressive art therapy, and traditional talk therapy among others. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents using these innovative techniques. I often incorporate my Christian faith counseling from a relational and integrative approach. I look forward to meeting you on your journey so we can travel together to reach your ultimate destination.
